Fish are getting into their fall patterns on most of the area lakes. Depths vary greatly right now. It seems like some schools of walleye are tight to the weeds, others are in that 20-24ft, and yet others are in the 35-45ft. So it’s basically a process of elimination and using the electronics to find the depth where the fish are on a given structure. We have been catching a lot of really fat golden fish. The main bite still seems to be on a lindy rig and minnow rather than jig and minnow but that could change any day. Congrats to Butch and Nate for placing 4th in the Walleye Alliance Fall classic last weekend which was held on Pelican Lake. We still hopefully have another month of good fishing ahead of us before ice.
